Zero to Two - Diary of a 2 Year Old | Baby & Beyond

This post is part of a series of posts I am writing titled Diary of a Baby chronicling the candid confessions of a baby from 0 to 2 years old.

Age: 2 years old

Dear Diary,

Today I am a 2 year old. I can hardly believe it. How time flies! It feels like just yesterday that I was curled up snugly in my cocoon helpless and completely dependent on Mamma. And now I am an almost-3-ft-tall, school-going toddler with my own personality, my own likes and dislikes and my own opinions.

I am amazed at how much I have grown.

From not being able to move voluntarily to running at Olympic speeds.

From crying for mum-mum every 2 hours to eating full meals by myself.

From not being able to express myself to speaking full sentences and holding conversations with adults.

From being scared to be away from Mamma and Papa to being an independent school-going boy.

From not sleeping through the night to…oh well, I guess some things still stay the same!

The last 2 years haven’t come without their ups and downs…Vaccinations, colic, teething, injuries, illnesses but also milestones, parties, playdates, holidays, lots of cuddles, snuggles and love. Oh life is an adventure and my dear friend, you have been with me throughout, listening to my innermost thoughts and fears.Thank you!

And with that, I have also come to your last page. It’s hard to say goodbye but it’s onward to new adventures now. “Twoddler”, Terrible Twos and all the things 2 year olds are notorious for. So long!
