My Baking Experiment – Healthy Three-Ingredient Teething Cookies
Today while scrolling through my feed I came across this recipe for healthy homemade teething cookies. It seemed super simple with just 3 primary ingredients.
Baby N never really took to teethers. Everything from fancy silicone teethers to gel / water based teethers to home remedies (carrot, cucumber, ice in a washcloth) were instantly tossed aside. After he turned a year old, he seemed really interested in crispy textures such as toast and breadsticks. We allowed him to chew on them for a while which seemed to soothe his gums, but I was not necessarily happy with the ingredients of these store-bought goodies. So when the recipe for this teething biscuit popped up, I just knew I had to try it out.
It literally took 5 mins to prepare, another 15-20 mins in the oven and presto! It was ready! Now I have to say, this was my first experiment with non-savoury baking. My cookies looked nothing like what you see in this picture here and the insides were a little more gooey than I like in my cookies, but they tasted really good (which is fab considering no sugar, flour or eggs). Importantly Baby N seemed to like the texture and taste and spent considerable time nibbling on it, so all-in-all I think it was a fruitful trial.
