Get Set for Junior’s Fashion Week 2017, Mumbai!

September 25, 2017 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google+ Fashion

Being a mom to a boy, I always felt like I would be missing out on dressing up my little one. While girls have all the fun with colours, designs, fabrics and accessories, I didn’t think there were too many options available for little boys. That was until I actually started shopping for him and realized how wrong I was! There is a whole range of cute fashion available for boys too. I admit that till a year ago I didn’t know cargos from joggers or berets from boaters, but now I am all clued in! It’s so much fun checking out all the latest trends in children’s clothing and that is one of the reasons I am super excited about the upcoming Junior’s Fashion Week 2017 in Mumbai.

What is Junior’s Fashion Week all about?

Junior’s Fashion Week (JFW) is a children’s fashion runway show aimed at kids between 4 to 15 years of age. Every season, JFW comes together with both established as well as emerging national and international brands in the children’s fashion and lifestyle segment. You can expect to see apparel, footwear, accessories, decor and other related services for kids being showcased by the best-of-the-best in the industry. The event is held in multiple cities every year and is full of fun, vivacity and glamour!

Who attends JFW?

Kids, parents, brands, fashion houses, industry buyers, online retailers, franchisers, designers, media, bloggers, photographers…All come under one roof with one common goal – to celebrate the vivacious and booming junior’s fashion and lifestyle industry.

Where?

Grand Hyatt, Mumbai

When?

30th Sep and 1st Oct, 2017

The event will be spread over two days:

Day 1: Grooming Workshops

This is what I found really interesting and impressive about JFW. It is not just a ramp show but a platform for overall grooming of the participating children. On the day before the main event, they will be taken through a series of creative and interactive sessions conducted by the industry’s celebrated fashion gurus. The workshops will focus on styling, personality grooming and instilling confidence in them. Each session will be conducted with a small batch of children so that every child gets personalized attention. If this wasn’t enough, a professional photoshoot for the junior models will also be conducted. What an experience for the kids!

I will be attending the workshops and will surely give you a behind-the-scenes sneak peak!

Day 2: Main Event – Runway Showcase

This is the main event where our little stars will take to the runway and showcase the creatively curated and wonderfully designed Autumn Winter collections of the participating brands. I am super excited to see the latest collections by U.S. Polo Assn., Marks & Spencer, London, and Allen Solly Junior. We can expect it to be preppy, edgy and stylish, while still maintaining comfort for our little ones.
