CuddleCare Prima AIO Diaper

I recently reviewed the CuddleCare Wonder Pocket diaper. I also had the chance to try out the CuddleCare Prima AIO diaper and was even more impressed. Here is my review.

The Prima All-in-One is pretty similar to the Wonder Pocket diaper in terms of look and feel, but the key difference is that it has 2 flap-style inserts sewn in, with a pocket to add more inserts as required.

Diaper Specifications:

  • All-in-One diaper with 2 bamboo-cotton inserts (5 layers absorbency) sewn in. One insert has stay-dry microsuede layer on top
  • Includes pocket to add additional absorbency
  • Inner layer – Stay-dry microsuede
  • Outer shell – PUL
  • 3 rise snaps
  • One size diaper. Manufacturer recommended weight – 5-15 kg

What I Liked:

Packaging:
  • The diaper came in a reusable eco-friendly cloth bag
  • Cuddlecare also sent along a personalized note (personalized notes to customers always leave a good impression) and a set of wash and care instructions which will be very useful to newbie CDing parents.

Look and Feel:
  • This diaper is available in 6 adorable prints
  • The outer waterproof PUL shell is quite thin and pliable
  • The inner layer has a soft microsuede stay-dry lining
  • Diaper has gentle ruffled elastics that did not leave marks on baby’s skin
  • I really like the fact that the inner feel is customizable, in the sense that if your baby prefers stay-dry feel, you can keep the insert with the microsuede layer on top or if you prefer to have natural fabric touching baby’s skin, you can keep the bamboo cotton insert without microsuede layer on top

Fit:
  • It gave a very good fit for my lean, tall 15 month old. It does not look bulky at all despite the 2 inserts. You can see how trim it looks under his PJs
  • It has a back elastic for better fit around the waist
  • Crossover tabs will give a good fit for smaller babies as well
  • The wings have triangular snap alignment with hip snap as well to prevent wing droop and side leakages

Usage:
  • I used the AIO after 2 washes and it lasted for about 4 hours including a nap. CuddleCare also sent me a 3 layer hemp booster. I added the booster after 4 washes and I was able to use it all night around 10 hours without a leak
  • The diaper comes with tummy leak guard and double gusset to prevent leaks from the front and sides. My toddler moves around and flips in his sleep but we did not have any leak issue.

Pricing:
  • The price point is very affordable as compared to other brands providing such premium features

Parting Note:

This is definitely a value-for-money all-in-one diaper. Add to it the hemp insert and you have a reliable night-time solution as well.

Very detailed review! I am a cloth diapering mom and always look for new Indian brands. Pocket diapers are my favourite but AIOs are really handy too. Love the cute print!
